Security for your website

A hacked website means downtime, visitors redirected to shady pages and Google rankings that collapse. I close the gaps before anyone exploits them.

Security audit

I review your site in depth: CMS and plugin versions, vulnerable extensions, admin accounts, file permissions, SSL certificate and HTTP headers. You get a clear report with fixes ranked by priority.

Vulnerable plugins
Accounts and access
HTTP headers
Prioritised report

Protection and hardening

I set up a web application firewall, two-factor authentication and login rate limiting, and I switch off entry points you do not need. Your site becomes a much harder target for attack bots.

Application firewall
Two-factor login
Brute force protection
XML-RPC disabled

Backups and maintenance

Automatic backups stored off your server, core, plugin and PHP updates tested before they go live, and uptime monitoring with alerts. If something goes wrong, your site is restored quickly.

Off-server backups
Tested updates
Uptime monitoring

Already hacked?

Suspicious redirects, spam pages in Google, a "dangerous site" warning or an account suspended by your host: I clean your WordPress site, close the gap and get it back online.

Your website's security, treated as

a priority.

Most hacks do not target anyone in particular. Bots scan the web around the clock for outdated plugins, weak passwords and badly configured servers, so a small business in Montreux is just as exposed as a large company. My job is to shrink the attack surface, keep every component up to date and make sure your site can be restored at any time. Your site stays fast, your clients' data stays protected and you meet your obligations under the revised Swiss data protection act.

Because attacks are automated. Bots constantly test thousands of sites for a known flaw, an outdated plugin or a weak password. They do not pick your site because of your business, they exploit it because it is vulnerable. Once compromised, it is used to send spam, host fraudulent pages or redirect your visitors.

The WordPress core is solid and actively maintained. The risk mostly comes from plugins and themes that are not updated, extensions abandoned by their developers and poorly protected logins. A well configured WordPress site with a few carefully chosen plugins and regular updates is safe. A static Next.js site reduces the attack surface even further, as it has no exposed database or admin area.

I check the CMS, plugin and PHP versions, look for known vulnerable extensions, review admin accounts and file permissions, the SSL setup, HTTP security headers and your backup policy. You get a report written in plain language, with fixes ranked by risk level.

The revised Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since 1 September 2023, requires personal data to be protected by technical and organisational measures suited to the risk. If your site collects data through a contact form, a shop or a client area, its security is part of those measures. A data security breach likely to result in a high risk for the people concerned must be reported to the FDPIC.

Yes. My monthly maintenance covers tested updates, automatic off-server backups, uptime monitoring and quick action if an incident occurs. You no longer have to think about it.

It depends on the size of the site, the CMS and its current state. After a first review, I send you a fixed quote in Swiss francs, with no surprises. You can start with the free website audit to get a first view of the issues.
